Event: May 10, 2025 Speaking Event: START YOUR BOOK LAUNCH PLAN BEFORE YOUR BOOK IS DONE

I will be speaking on the topic of Book Launch Plans at the May 10, 2025 Mount Diablo California Writers Club meeting from 11:15 till noon.

It may seem overwhelming to begin marketing when you are in the midst of editing to your manuscript or tweaking your book cover. But this is a critical step to maximizing the potential for a successful book launch. In this session, I will cover setting up Amazon ads, resources for mailing list management and
newsletter swaps, direct sale events, book blurbs, and social media options.

My talk will be followed by a buffet lunch and Allison Landa who will speak on the topic of What Can We Learn About Writing from Reality TV?

Location: Zio Fraedo’s Restaurant, 611 Gregory Lane, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523

Meeting Cost (includes buffet lunch): $30 Members and $35 Non-Members for early bird registration. Pay an additional $5 for registration at the door.

Queen of the Rhino Now in Audiobook

I was invited to be part of Amazon’s beta testing of their Virtual Voice, a computer-generated narration. I chose a a woman’s voice and I was surprised at how good it sounds. You can check out a sample of the narration here:

Or buy the ebook or paperback:

I’m currently reviewing the audio file for Rhino in the Room. I’ll send an update when the audiobook is available for that book.

April Newsletter #2 – What the BLEEP is wrong with me? Plus a St. Croix First.

For the second time in less than a month, I had a speaking event where I made a silly mistake. I left my notes behind. What a nightmare! Or was it? Click the link below to check out my newsletter to see how it all turned out.

Plus, my husband was given the honor to be the first tourist to play golf on a newly opened 4-hole golf course on St. Croix. Check out the staged photo below with a sugar mill historical feature in the background.
